I have both Audacity and Adobe Audition, but I'm not too sure which one gives the best results. (I'm assuming it's gonna be Audition but I just wanted to check with you guys just to be 101% sure)
Are there other methods? I'm guessing those online convertions won't give out the best quality...
What's the best way to convert FLAC into mp3?

I usually do it through foobar2k, but I don't know if one way is better than another.

Hmm, I'll add that to the list of the software I can work with. Thanks for the input
I first thought of converting the OST by audacity then make another mirror but this time it was converted by Audition. But that just sounds silly as well as redundant.

I just use Audacity. I don't think the choice of software could affect how the mp3 comes out unless it hides some encoding settings from you.

I use Foobar2K, which uses the standard LAME encoder to do the job. I don't think there'll be much difference in quality, especially if you're encoding at or above 192kbps.
Foobar is just nice since it automatically copies over all the metadata tags for you!

If you fancy a command line tool, ffmpeg is a good choice.

I use foobar as well. It's just easy as heck to do batch conversions with it.
In the end, it's all using a command line encoder (lame) anyway, so it doesn't matter what front end you use so long as the back end is the same.

Audacity (or anything else with the lastest version of the LAME encoder) is generally the best way to do it, I've found.
